ABOUT

Making the most of our beautiful green spaces:

At Hounds of The Anston Hills we believe in giving your pet variety and stimulation to keep them energised, happy and healthy. Your pet gets bored if they are taken on the same walks everyday and so I ensure that every pet walked with us has the chance to explore new areas. We make full use of the green spaces around our city such as trails, parks, woodlands, country parks, canals, open fields and reservoirs, away from traffic and busy roads.

The choice is yours!

Our Pack Hikes give your dog the absolute best opportunity to meet new friends and be with their own kind, explore new areas, share adventures, burn off some energy and have their physical and emotional needs met. I walk a maximum of 6 dogs per time which gives your dog the experience of being in a natural pack whilst still allowing every dog to have the attention it needs from human interaction.

Solo walks are available for dogs who would find pack walking difficult and need one to one attention. An individual care package is tailored to meet your dogs individual needs.

I also provide a variety of toys for dogs on their walks such as balls, safe sticks, floating toys for dogs that like to swim and retrieve and tug toys for interactive fun games.

Home Boarding and Doggy Day Care

At Hounds of the Anston Hills we look forward to welcoming you and your pet into our home and we strive to offer you the absolute best service.

Our boarding and day care services give your dog a fantastic opportunity to mix with other dogs, play, explore, have exciting walks, engage in fun games and get involved in stimulating brain training and other fun activities.

Your dog will be fully integrated into our family and will be included in all that we do. Every dog has full access to my house and garden and are free to choose where they go.

Each dog is allocated their own individual room to sleep, eat, drink, play and rest but if your dog would prefer to sleep alongside other dogs then they have the option to do so.

Whilst boarding, and attending day care, your dog will have at least 2 x off property walks per day in beautiful settings.

Below are some things to consider to make sure everything runs smoothly:

  • Please make sure that all vaccinations are up to date including annual boosters. We can’t board or accept your dog for daycare without them. You will need to bring your dogs vaccination card when you visit.

  • Please make sure your dog has been treated with a flea and worm treatment within the last 4 weeks.

  • Changing your dogs food can cause stomach upset and diarrhoea so please make sure you have provided enough food for the entire stay. Ideally, bring extra food just incase you are delayed in your return.

  • Please do not bring your pets own toys to Hounds of the Anston Hills. We do not want any fighting over favourite toys or resource guarding amongst the dogs. We provide a wide variety of toys to keep your dog stimulated and entertained.

  • Please make sure you have told us everything we need to know about your pet including any health or behaviour issues. The more we know, the better we can meet all of their needs.

  • Ensure you bring any medication your dog needs throughout their stay.

  • When dropping off your dog, especially for first time visitors, please allow extra time to help them to settle in.

  • Enjoy your time away! Try not to worry and be confident that your pet will be well cared for.

Pet Sitting

I offer a variety of pet sitting services including visiting and caring for cats and dogs in their own home.

I also offer pet sitting for small caged animals, birds and fish.

Please see services page for more details.

Puppy Socialisation Sessions

I offer socialisation sessions for both fully vaccinated puppies and for puppies who are not yet able to go out for a walk. All puppy sessions include an introduction to the puppy socialisation programme.

Please see service page for more details.

For your peace of mind I offer FREE Facebook, Text or WhatsApp updates as part of my service so you can see how your pets are enjoying themselves.
